Today has been awesome.
Cleaning up my body
Breakfast was a bowl of Wheat Chex.
After that, I went to the store. I bought nice, healthy food for a little over a week. I will actually cook! I had to sit down and make a list. I figured out a way to make a list and organize it in excel. I am such a nerd. I was
going to take a picture of all of my groceries organized on the table, but i forgot about that until I was about halfway through putting them away, so I didn’t get them back out. It’s okay.
When I got back from the store, I realized I was starving. I went for quick and easy. It was red pepper hummus and baked pita chips. This looks like a huge plate, but it was a saucer.
Dinner was a great concoction of whole wheat pasta, roasted red peppers, onion, garlic, and spinach. So good!
I also had 2 Kashi cookies and milk. Here’s a picture of 1.
Did you notice no Starbucks? Yeah, that’s right. And I didn’t get the headache I usually get. Maybe I was just too busy to notice.
Also, to take care of my body, I bought 2 new bras. I’m getting ready to wax my eyebrows too. I didn’t work out today, but I haven’t wasted much time, so I don’t feel bad.
Cleaning up my spirit has been harder than I thought. I did watch an awesome sermon this morning – the one we missed last week. (yes, our church is on tv.) The minister talked about hos we are stewards of our bodies, and sometimes to take care of ourselves mean to allow ourselves to rest. He also talked about ways to increase constant prayer in my life. I am trying really hard to start and end my day focused on Jesus. I also spent a while trying to find a sermon series on Ruth that I listened to last year. I really thought I had it saved in my iTunes, but I don’t. So I’m just going to read my Bible to sleep tonight and get through a big part of Ruth.
I do have some ends to clean up tomorrow. I still need to put laundry away. Work out. Take out the trash. And Nathan should be home tomorrow afternoon!
How have y’all spent your Sunday?
