riding horseback through deep snow

So Fat Bridesmaid and I are making plans for an October rendevous in Cincinnati! Sarah is in (hopefully!) More details to come!

Today has been great. So many victories!

Breakfast:

Started with Starbucks. Did I get my usual? Nope. I got a Chocolate Banana Vivanno with a shot of espresso. Which they did not charge me for. Nor did they write it on the cup. Nor did they put it in my cup. Oh well. I also bought one of the new trail mix bars. Not really impressed. I had a few bites and then decided to eat the breakfast Nathan had packed for me: a peanut butter and nutella sandwich.

Lunch was great. Last night I broiled a few chicken and apple sausages and asparagus for lunch today. So so so good!

This really wasn’t a ton of food, and I was hungry about 2 hours later. And unprepared. So I headed to the cafeteria for some frozen yogurt. You really can’t tell, but this is a pretty small cup. Think small coffee cup.

For dinner we went to Cosi. I had the margherita pizza. I ate a smidge more than half of this.

And then came the kicker. I had decided that tonight I was going to treat myself to the real thing: Iced Venti 3-pump (with whip!) white mocha. We were spending a while at Barnes and Noble, and I was going all out! The problem was that by the time I got to the counter, I was worried about falling off the wagon, so I went for decaf.

And she left off the whipped cream.

I don’t know if that was the issue. Or the decaf. Or what. But it just didn’t do it for me. It just wasn’t the same. I may have drank half of it. I was so disappointed! I LOVE my drink. But tonight, it just wasn’t right. Was it just the barista at the B&N Starbucks? Should I try again? Have I really lost my taste for it in 5 days time? Tune in for the next installment!

And now we are gonna split a pb and nutella sandwich!

The plans for tomorrow are a little cleaning. That’s all. I am so excited to relax.

Have a great weekend!

  1. Oh Nutella… how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Sadly I had to give it up (except for special occasions). Too much sugar. Sad.

But hooray for the Cincinnati meet up! I’m gonna try to think of all the fun stuff for us to do.

  2. I LOVR Nutella. Thank god I really didn’t discover it until after I had lived in Europe for a year. That would have been horrible for my waist, but amazing for my taste buds. I bet that sandwich you and Nathan make would be yummy with a sliced banana or some toasted coconut :)

Ok, So there is this think called the Presidential Debate and that makes me unavailable on October 4 and then I have a conference on the 11th. I am available on the 18th and 25th though! Please don’t let my schedule determine if the meet up happens though. I will go if I don’t have to work :)

  3. I’m so glad you’re back! And I have run into the issue of giving up something for awhile and then not liking it when I go back to it. Diet Dr. Pepper was that way for me. Although since I’ve had to give up all caffeine now (it gives me migraines), it’s probably a good thing I don’t like it anymore. But it’s interesting how sad it makes me whenever that happens. Oh well!

  4. I would love to meet up with you, Sarah and Fat Bridesmaid in Cincy. It IS where I live! Let me know when you’re planning to do it. I’d be happy to help make some suggestions for things to do! I will be out of town on the 4th, and possibly going to Red River Gorge on the 11th, but otherwise will be around and would love to meet both you and FB in person! :)
