both of our hands are equally skilled

So yesterday I met with a lovely couple from Africa. Older. Thick accents. Very very nice.

We were chatting about his health, and out of no where the wife stopped me.

She said, “I just needed to tell you that you are stunning. Stunning. So rarely do I see a full-figured woman who works with what she has. Don’t ever change yourself. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you should. God gave you beauty. Cherish that.”

I thanked her – repeatedly – and continued on with my job.

She made my day. Probably my week. Maybe my month.

I know people in my life love me and think I’m pretty. But I tell myself that they are biased because they know my heart as well.

But such a compliment from a stranger? Out of the blue?

Sigh.

Now it’s time to enjoy a new season of the Biggest Loser while sipping Starbucks!
