You know, there are a million things I could talk about today. My book that had a different book in the middle. The meltdown I had at work today because excel lost a spreadsheet. The awesome potato soup that my dad made last night. The bubble bath I plan on taking when I finish this.
But I’ve decided to talk about one of the people I’ve had in my life for as long as I can remember.
If you hang out at Fat Bridesmaid‘s Liveblog of Biggest Loser, you met her this week. I bring you JenifromtheBlock.
She’s the one on the left. From our kindergarten Christmas play. (Yes, this is a picture of a picture. Sue me.)
I met Jenifer the first day of kindergarten at the water fountain. She’s been a fixture in my life ever since. There were times when there were many miles between us, but she’s the one friend I could always depend on – for like 25 years now. That’s crazy that we’re that old.
High School Graduation

10-Year Reunion (BTW – Why do I have so many pictures of Drew at my wedding and none of you? Remember the huge piece of cake Nathan cut for Drew at the shower?)

I love ya girl! I cannot thank you enough for stopping by at the visitation. It was so much fun to chat about our blog friends, and I’m glad you made your grand entrance, I’m just sad I wasn’t there to see it.
Not only is Jenifer fiercely loyal, but she’s also dead sexy. So after my Papaw’s visitation (almost 2 weeks ago – man, time flies), my 16-year-old cousin asked who my friend was and asked if it would have been inappropriate to hit on her at a funeral home. So Jen can still rock it with the high school crowd. Oh yeah.
I think she could totally rock the blog world, by the way. Is there a blog in your future, Jen? Come on! All the cool kids do it. And that way you too could have stalkers…
JENIFER!
I know her.
Join us Jenifer…… JOIN US! OooooOOoo
Okay, enough of that. Reasons for Jenifer to blog:
1) All the cool kids are doing it
2) See reason #1
3) Blogging automatically makes you less blog stalkerish
You know, what’s funny is that my very first friend (who I met on the first day of Kindergarten & happened to live 4 houses down the block from me) was ALSO named Jennifer!
Oh!My!Gosh! Now I’m totally famous! And “dead sexy!” Ha ha, that’s hilarious. Thank you so much for making me smile and including me in your blogging. I have so many great memories of being with you and your fantastic family. (Wake me up, before you go, go…..) I love ya girl!!! And indeed, a blog may be in my future…..
Yes, I have to agree. Jeni is the Best! I am her “Boss”, as she calls me. We met 4 years ago when she dressed as a “Fairy” ( a dead sexy one)for halloween. She’ll have a friend in me forever, too!
