I got a bright shiny new toy today: a scanner/printer/copy machine. I am so excited.
I’ve spent the last few hours scanning old pictures – from (gasp) my 35mm camera – and I’ve realized something.
I don’t know if the two are necessarily related, but the happiest time I can remember was also my thinnest time.
2004. The summer of our first anniversary. I was eating well and exercising a lot. I didn’t necessarily lose any weight that summer, but I maintained well. I was in school, we took several trips, I was very happy.
I realize those was also the days before mortgage payments, while my loans were in deferment, grad school, part-time job. I cooked, I exercised, I paid a great amount of attention to my husband. And where did that get me?
175.

I have a plan – and a reason to get motivated. You haven’t seen the last of me, 175. I’m coming after you.
This is totally random but I heard an interview on “Fresh Air” this morning about Fiction Family. I’m sure you know who they are but if you don’t Sean Watkins from Nickel Creek is in it. So I thought you might want to read/listen to it. Here’s the link: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=99864867
I really hope you like Nickel Creek and I’m not just terribly confused hahahaha. And if I am, just ignore this comment.
You were gorgeous then, and you’re gorgeous now.
Don’t forget that.
xo
And for the record, my hair doesn’t explode that like anymore. I’m informed when it starts getting out of hand these days.
175 here you come!!
You and your hubby are such a great looking couple!
I think its really interesting how chapters shift in our lives and new activities and habits form because of it. You know how to get to 175 and stay there, it is in you.
nathan- i had to laugh at you comment, your hair reminds me of josh’s so much. calming his hair down has become a fine tuned craft.
You go girl! You are gorgeous at any weight, but yes, 175 lb will be so great for you!
