I have been thinking about this week’s hotbyblogher challenge all week. I mean, it was my idea. So I needed to do something really cool for the challenge.
I tried to take food pictures, but my eating was all over the place this week. To be honest, I was too embarrassed.
As much as I’m into self-portraits these days, I haven’t been anywhere cool to take one this week. Like all my favorites aren’t from public restrooms, but anyway…
The option left was to try a new work-out and take a picture representative.
So it’s Friday. And I still didn’t know what I was going to do.
And then – yesterday – one of my BBFs (best blog friend) FatBridesmaid said she had started Couch to 5K. And I knew I wanted to also. (I mean, how AWESOME would it be to take an early morning run in Chicago! SHUT UP!)
I’ve always wanted to be a runner.
It POURED today. POURED. I knew running was out of the question.
But then, around 8, the sun magically came out. Nathan decided to go forĀ a run. So I downloaded the first day of C25K and I was off. As I walked up the first hill, I took a picture of the beautiful sunset. And an idea was born. I took a picture when I left and at the end of each running sequence. And here’s what you get!
(Ignore the fuzziness of some of the pictures. And I saw a white van at the beginning – see it there with it’s lights on in the first picture! – and then sitting somewhere different close to my house when I got back. Lesson learned? Don’t watch Criminal Minds right before you go on a run at dusk. Carry on.)

Verdict? It wasn’t as hard as the last time I tried it. I think my shredding and BL boot camp has paid off. I’m excited to stick with it this time – not wimp out at week 5 as I usually do.
So what new workout have you tried lately? Show us a picture!
LOVE the pics.
I never think to run with my phone.
I should try that tomorrow.
Friend, I’m so proud of you!
It wasn’t as hard for me, either. The shred has to have been helping us with endurance to make this easier. Last time I tried couch to 5K, I couldn’t even complete 60 seconds of running.
Great photos!
Eeee! Hooray for you! I am currently doing C25k as well! The last time I tried it I totally wimped out at week four, and week five just made me so nervous.
I to have always wanted to “be a runner” I just started week four on Saturday, suddenly it’s getting harder! I”m tryig not to be too nervous about week five!
