to face unafraid the plans that we made

I don’t even know what has happened this weekend. I am so excited.

I did have cake. I did have pie. But not much. I made the deal with myself (and verbalized it to Nathan) that I wouldn’t eat anything sweet that I could buy. That meant no M&Ms. No KitKats. No cookies that were bought at the store. Chocolate cake made from scratch? Yeah, I ate some. Pumpkin cookies? Yeah, I had a few of them too. But for the most part, my eating was really in check. Lots of veggies. Meats were lean. I tried not to eat a lot of bread. I’m very proud of myself.

Not only did we run a 5K, but I’m getting ready to go to the gym with my mom. How crazy is that? It’s just awesome.

Wanna know what else is awesome?

This time last year, I would go to the largest size in the store and pray that it fit. XXL was not dependable.

And this is today.

This is my sweatshirt.

This is my t-shirt (from the turkey trot 5K, thank you very much).

And these are my pants.

Not a single X in sight. That’s enough to get me to the gym.

Happy Weekend everybody!
