Seriously consider this one, Lydia. It is tough like a trail run, but it is mostly grass and gravel.

http://www.shakervillageky.org/events_calendar/index.cfm?task=activity_detail&id=AT_110826_17184052_MOE12

We'll head back down there soon. And I think we're going to head up to the game farm at the end of June for a Saturday run. You know I'll make you come out: :)

Great job! Some people would berate themselves and spend hours overthinking a decision to cut a race short. I love that you aren't doing that. I love that you gave yourself permission to enjoy what you're doing. I also know that it had to be great to cheer Yukon Cornelius across the finish line.

I REALLY want to get over my fear of trail running soon. I'm not sure I'll get to do the race that I've had in the back of my head as a goal, this year, because it will probably be awfully close to the Marshall Half, but I want to start TRYING to get away from my fear of trails.

Was thinking about you and how strong you are on my way to work this morning. Not sure why--but this tidbit of your life that I vaguely knew of came to mind and I just said a quick prayer for you. Now I know why.
Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing the tough things in life. I really needed to be reminded that tough things make us strong and remind us what we are truly made of. So thankful for you and all you bring to the table!

Thank-you for having the courage to share this with all of us, even though many of us don't actually know you in person. Your words are a source of inspiration for me-your optimism and faith and determination shine through in each post you write, and in this one in particular. Thanks for sharing your journey.

Oh, and I hope the boot camp went well and that your dinner stayed firmly in place :)
