Year 2 of Q4D in a nutshell!

January: We had a week of salads. I did a lot of photo food journaling. My wallet got stolen as I abandoned a job. Nathan looked like Burt Reynolds. I had job interviews. I created the I LOVE ME list and then filled it out. And then a lot of other folk followed. I put myself first. I talked about why I am fat. And I seriously kicked the scale’s ass.

February: I learned a lot from my unemployment: about God, from What Not to Wear, about my husband,  about me. I also shared lessons from my training trip to Atlanta, including this before and during picture.

March: I took some pictures at Shakertown. I reviewed 2008 thus far and created an action plan. I had my lowest weigh-in of 2008 at 219.8. I shared my internal battle with numbers.

April: I took a blog hiatus. I struggled a lot. Work was terrible. Nathan went to Georgia. Not a great month. I lost my health mojo here. I came back with iPod roulette.

May: I explain my reson for hiatus. We went outlet shopping with Fat Bridesmaid. I started gaining weight again. I issued a 10-Day Challenge and made my first chicken salad of the season. I wore 2 different shoes to work. I met Pasta Queen at a book signing. Food pictures galore.

June: I pushed reset. My hair was starting to grow! (I’d forgotten how painful the hair-growing-out process was.)

July: I tried moving to iWeb, but had too much drama. So I ended up here, master of my own domain. More hair progress pics. And in the middle, we took an awesome trip to Asheville for our fifth anniversary. We spent a weekend in our hometown and I learned a lot about my family.

August: Another interview by Fat Bridesmaid. We saw the Punch Brothers in the basement of a little church in Louisville. I took another blog hiatus. (Wow. Not a good year!) And I came back. I worked hard to get it back together.

September: More food pics. I decided Nathan needs a new career (HA!). I started to get honest about my grandfather’s health. A Nigerian woman told me I was beautiful. I got a kick in the butt from Jeannie.

October: We went to Gatlinburg with my parents. Continued to struggle with Papaw’s cancer. I was substitute Biggest Loser LiveBlog Host for Fat Bridesmaid. I made Chicken Apple Chili. We went to Tennessee with Nate’s family. I showed you my favorite Halloween costume.

November: I had a birthday lunch with Sarah. We played a game with not spending money. We walked in a Christmas 5K. I only posted 5 times in November.

December: Family illness and death.  A hair-growing-out update. We saw Over the Rhine with Fat Bridesmaid (check out my artistic skills!). I baked and shared my favorite gift from my grandfather that passed six years ago. We celebrated Christmas, I shared Christmas music pictures, I got distracted by Christmas presents. And 2008 kinda wound down gracefully. But then 2009 started with a bang…
