I can make a double batch of MMF in less than 20 minutes for less than $7. That equals about 6 pounds of fondant. Usually when I buy a 5 pound bucket of red or black, it costs me $15-20 plus expensive shipping (depends on where I order it, sales, etc). You can see how I make fondant here: Homemade Marshmallow Fondant. I hope that helps and ...

Instructions Use a paddle attachment to beat the softened butter until light and fluffy. Add 3 cups of powdered sugar and turn the mixer on the lowest speed (so powdered sugar doesn't go flying everywhere) until the powdered sugar starts to become absorbed into the butter.

The Dora cake is adorable. How old is your baby going to be? Making fondant figurines is not my forte, although I did make two teddy bear fondant figurines today for a friends baby shower. But teddy bears are a heck of a lot easier than a Dora figurine which would be very time consuming. I personally would go and buy a Dora doll to put on top.

Hi Everyone, I need to do a unique Dora the Explorer cake around $30 that isn't like everyone elses Dora cake (Although I love those cakes!!) It is for a young kid so it mostly should be frosting, not so much fondant.
