As you reach the center, apply a small amount o glue to the end of the spiral and push it under the rolled “flower”. Hold together for a while for the glue to set. Now take the rectangle and roll it together into a small tube (glue!). Dip the center part of the flower in a bit of glue and stick it into the rolled petals part.

Brush some gum glue in the middle of the petal and press the cup in the middle with the help of a ball tool. Fold the flower stamen, dip folded end in the gum glue and insert in the middle of the cup. Let the finished gum paste daffodil dry in the flower former at least for a day. And here it is on a cake.

Add a bit of egg white inside at the base, and slide in the stamens. Pinch gently around the base to attach and stand in styrofoam to dry. Using a small basic leaf cutter, cut out 6 petals and 6 pieces of the 28 gauge wire. Add veins using the Stargazer lily veiner.
