Combine the sugar, cream (or milk) and vanilla into the smaller sandwich bag and seal. Add the sandwich bag with the ice cream mixture into the extra large sandwich bag. Seal the larger bag. Put the two bags into the gallon bag with the ice in it, and seal the gallon-sized bag.

When the ice cream is ready, carefully open both the outside and inside bags, being especially careful not to let any ice and salt fall into the ice cream. Scoop it into bowls and top with your favorite ice cream toppings and enjoy right away, or add some mix-ins, seal the bag up, and squish it for another minute or two.

This strawberry ice cream is so easy to make, you won’t believe it! There are only 3 simple ingredients, plus a pinch of salt to balance the flavors. You will need heavy whipping cream (aka: double cream if you are outside the US), a can of sweetened condensed milk, and fresh strawberries.

Fill the container about half-full with crushed ice. Add about 6 T of rock salt to the ice. Seal it and shake the ice and salt combo for about five minutes. You’ll need to wear your gloves when you’re handling the jar. If you’re curious as to why you should wear gloves, a thermometer in the ice will explain it.
